Tier 1 Institute in Cookeville, TN seeks a Clinical Support Assistant / Cast Tech to assist physicians with clerical tasks and cast-related care. The role ensures smooth patient flow and prepares patients for casting procedures in a busy clinic.

Qualifications include a high school diploma or GED, 2 years in a healthcare setting, CMA/LPN/RN certification, and the ability to pass casting training within 90 days. Strong English communication and basic computer skills are required.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required; two years in a healthcare environment, one year of clerical experience.
• Must have CMA/LPN/RN certification. Medical assistant certification to be obtained if not already.
• Able to pass casting training within 90 days of employment.
• Ability to communicate in English and perform basic arithmetic; computer literate.

Responsibilities

• Directs and escorts patients to treatment areas.
• Gathers information to assist the provider in patient care.
• Prepares patients for casting procedures and explains techniques.
• Assists with minor procedures (biopsies, injections, aspirations).
• Applies/removes casts and soft goods as directed.
• Keeps exam rooms and cast department organized and stocked; cleans instruments.
• Schedules appointments and tests; answers calls in clinic.
• Demonstrates regular attendance and cooperative teamwork.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.
