Job summary

Qualifications

• High School Diploma required.
• BLS certification required by end of 90-day associate evaluation period.
• Registered Orthopedic Technologist with ASOP/ABOP credential.
• National Board certification for Orthopedic Technologists.
• Minimum of one year of health care related experience.

Responsibilities

• Apply, adjust, and remove casts, splints, and soft goods.
• Instruct patients and guardians on cast care and orthopedic equipment.
• Maintain inventory of casting materials and supplies.
• Assist orthopaedic surgeons/providers in fracture reduction and other procedures.
• Room patients and obtain vitals; enter patient information into EMR.
• Schedule diagnostic tests and obtain pre-authorization; inform patients of results.
• Prepare, clean, and stock exam rooms; provide cross-coverage to other clinics.
