Nemours Children's Health in Broomall, PA seeks a Cast Tech to perform casting, splinting, and soft goods application and removal. You will support fracture care, assist with procedures, and collect data for patient intake while educating families on follow-up care.

You will help prepare patients for visits, document in EMR, and ensure exams run smoothly in a pediatric orthopedic setting.

Competenze

High School Diploma required.
BLS Certification through the American Heart Association required (by end of 90-day period).
Registered Orthopedic Technologist through the American Society of Orthopedic Professionals.
National Board of Certification for Orthopedic Technologists.
Minimum of one year health care related experience required.

Mansioni

Apply, adjust, and remove casts, splints, and soft goods; modify casts as needed.
Instruct patients and guardians on cast care and Orthopaedic equipment.
Maintain inventory of casting materials and supplies.
Assist orthopaedic surgeons/providers in fracture reductions and procedures.
Room patients and obtain vital signs; document information in EMR.
Ensure x-rays and lab reports are available for provider review.
Schedule diagnostic tests and obtain pre-authorizations.
Prepare, clean, and stock exam rooms; provide cross-coverage as needed.
Be technical advisor on orthopedic devices and equipment.
