Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED is required.
• Experience in cast application and removal is required.
• Knowledge of orthopedic anatomy and immobilization techniques is required.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills are essential.
• Compassionate, patient-centered care is essential.

Responsibilities

• Apply, adjust, and remove orthopedic devices (casts, splints, braces) per physician instructions.
• Assist physicians with complex casting techniques.
• Educate patients and caregivers on device care and maintenance.
• Perform suture/staple removal, dressing changes, and basic wound care under supervision.
• Fit and measure patients for orthopedic appliances ensuring proper function and comfort.
• Maintain inventory of casting materials, DME, and related supplies.
• Clean and sterilize equipment and work areas per infection control protocols.
• Collaborate with the clinical team to support a smooth, positive patient experience.
