Job summary

Express Employment Professionals - Cincinnati East is seeking a CAD Technician to join a family-owned orthopedic medical team in Asheville. Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of CAD design experience, preferably in medical/orthopedic field.
• Experience with orthopedic devices or prosthetics is highly preferred.
• Familiarity with FDA/ISO regulatory standards is beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Create detailed CAD drawings, 3D models, and technical documentation of orthopedic devices, including prosthetics, braces, and implants.
• Ensure all designs meet regulatory standards and are accurate for manufacturing and patient-specific needs.
• Utilize AutoCAD, SolidWorks, or similar software to develop and revise technical drawings.
• Review and update existing designs based on feedback from clinical staff and patients.
• Collaborate with fabrication teams to translate designs into physical products.
• Perform design modifications to improve fit, function, and performance of devices.
• Maintain design documentation, including version control and regulatory records.
• Stay updated with advancements in orthopedic tech and CAD tools.
