Job summary

Advocate Health is seeking an Athletic Trainer to join our Orthopedics team in Aurora, IL. You will assess injuries, triage patients and collaborate with physicians to determine needs for tests and services.

Bachelor’s degree in athletic training with BOC certification is required; CPR/AED training is also expected. This full-time position offers comprehensive benefits and a 40-hour work week.

Qualifications

• BOC athletic trainer certification.
• Licensed or eligible for Athletic Trainer license within 30 days of hire.
• American Heart Association Healthcare Provider (BLS) certification within 30 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Performs injury assessments and refers patient for necessary care.
• Communicates with patients to triage, instruct in self-care, prevention and treatment.
• Communicates with physician and medical team to determine need for tests or services.
• Establishes and implements a plan of care based on evaluation results and goals.
• Communicates plan of care to all involved in patient care.
• Monitors outcomes and adjusts the treatment plan accordingly.
