Job summary

Yale New Haven Health in Connecticut is seeking an Advanced Practice Provider (NP or PA) for General Orthopedics (Ambulatory & Walk-In Clinic). The role focuses on evaluating and treating musculoskeletal conditions in a high-volume setting.

You will work in a collaborative team, perform in-office procedures, and contribute to quality initiatives. Prior orthopedic APP experience is preferred, with comprehensive onboarding and mentorship provided.

Qualifications

• Nurse Practitioner (NP) or Physician Assistant (PA)
• Interest in orthopedics, musculoskeletal medicine, or ambulatory care preferred
• Previous APP orthopedic experience required

Responsibilities

• Evaluate, diagnose, and treat a wide range of general orthopedic and musculoskeletal conditions
• Manage patient flow and clinical decision-making in the Orthopedic Walk‑In Clinic
• Perform in‑office procedures including joint injections, splinting, casting, and wound care (training provided)
• Collaborate closely with orthopedic surgeons, fellow APPs, RNs, medical assistants, and multidisciplinary team members
• Document clinical findings, assessments, and treatment plans accurately and timely in the electronic medical record
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives and evidence-based care pathways
