Job summary

UHA University Health Associates is hiring Advanced Practice Professionals for Orthopedics – Total Joint Replacement. Roles include Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant with coordination of comprehensive perioperative and inpatient care, education of trainees, and collaboration with orthopedic teams to optimize patient outcomes.

Responsibilities include rounds, pre-procedure evaluations, diagnostic testing, discharge planning, and adherence to clinical guidelines.

Qualifications

• Education and certification requirements for NP or PA from WV educational and licensing bodies.
• Graduate degree and national certification required for APRN/PA roles.
• BLS with ALS required; CNOR preferred for NP role with orthopedic focus.

Responsibilities

• Manage comprehensive and individualized orthopedic patient care.
• Perform rounds, pre-procedure evaluations, and conduct diagnostic tests.
• Coordinate with orthopedic faculty and staff; develop care plans.
• Discharge planning and follow-up coordination.
• Educate residents and students; participate in clinical teaching.
• Ensure compliance with hospital policies and clinical guidelines.
