Job summary

Virginia Mason Franciscan Health in Silverdale, WA is seeking an orthopedic surgery advanced practitioner (ARNP or PA) to join a collegial, board-certified team.

You will assist in the OR as first assistant, perform wound closures, order tests, and develop comprehensive treatment plans while providing pre- and post-operative care. WA license, DEA/NPI, prescriptive authority and BLS are required.

Qualifications

• At least one-year experience as ARNP or PA required.
• Surgical experience as an APP preferred.
• WA State license in good standing; board certification; DEA/NPI and prescriptive authority; BLS per AHA.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the surgical suite including first assist, wound closure, and placement of internal devices.
• Perform pre-operative and post-operative care in clinics.
• Order, collect and interpret labs and imaging; formulate treatment plans.
• Conduct hospital rounds, write orders, see patients in ED as needed.
