Job summary

Virginia Mason Franciscan Health in Silverdale, WA is seeking an Orthopedic Surgery Advanced Practitioner to join a collegial team of board-certified providers. You will assist in the surgical suite as first assist and perform pre/post-operative care, order and interpret studies, and formulate treatment plans within scope.

Average schedule is Monday–Friday with OR and some clinic/hospital work; occasional weekend cases may be required to support the orthopedic surgeon and patient care needs.

Qualifications

• At least one year experience as ARNP or PA.
• Board certification is required.
• Active Washington State license is required.
• DEA/NPI and prescriptive authority needed.
• Current BLS for Healthcare Providers.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the surgical suite as first/critical assistant and support closure.
• Perform pre-operative and post-operative clinics and examinations.
• Order and interpret labs and imaging; develop treatment plans within scope.
• Perform injections, aspirations and apply braces or casts.
• Conduct hospital rounds and participate in ED coverage as needed.
