Job summary

Gillette Children’s is seeking a full-time Advanced Practice Provider to join the Orthopedics department, providing both inpatient and outpatient care in a family-centered model. The APP role encompasses autonomous and collaborative management of orthopedic trauma, peri-operative and inpatient care for extremities, with coordination of consults, imaging reviews and education for patients and families.

Required NP/PA credentials include MN nursing licensure with APRN, NP certification or PA

Qualifications

• RN license and Advanced Practice Registered Nurse license through the Minnesota Board of Nursing
• Master of Nursing Degree (MSN) or Doctorate of Nursing Practice (DNP)
• Current national certification from one of the following: AANP/ANCC/PNCB for NP or NCCPA for PA

Responsibilities

• Delivers patient care across inpatient, outpatient and perioperative areas
• Manages autonomous and collaborative care for orthopedic trauma and operative patients
• Performs assessments, orders diagnostic services, and coordinates complex discharge planning
• Educates patients and families, ensures clear communication among care teams
• Participates in committees and quality improvement initiatives
