Job summary

Mass General Brigham Medical Group Western Massachusetts, Inc. seeks an Advanced Practice Provider (AP P) to support our orthopedic team at the Hatfield Clinic. The role is onsite, Monday through Friday, 8:00am to 4:30pm, with options for 24, 32, or 40 hours per week.

The APP will work autonomously as the sole APP at Hatfield while collaborating with providers across Amherst. The ideal candidate will diagnose and treat acute orthopedic injuries in both adult and pediatric patients, order

Qualifications

• Master's Degree Physician Assistant required.
• Experience as a licensed Physician Assistant preferred.
• 3+ years of orthopedic experience preferred.
• 3+ years of acute care/urgent care experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provides direct care, counseling, and teaching to patients in ambulatory, inpatient, and procedural settings.
• Performs complete histories and physical examinations.
• Orders and interprets relevant diagnostic tests and develops care plans.
• Orders medications and writes prescriptions according to organizational policies.
• Documents thoroughly including progress notes, operative notes, and discharge summaries.
• Performs bedside procedures appropriate to the patient population.
