Job summary

The Research Student for the Department of Orthopaedics at Montefiore will review and compile data required for research trials into actionable formats for Principal Investigators to analyze and report. The role supports research personnel with clerical and administrative tasks related to Orthopaedic Surgery trials, and will access data systems under PI supervision.

A Bachelor's degree is required; a Master's is preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required; Master's degree preferred.
• Experience with data collection and chart abstraction.
• Experience identifying and capturing data from various data sources.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office and reporting on projects.

Responsibilities

• Identify very specific clinical data needed for collection.
• Abstract Clinical Information from charts.
• Provide monthly summary of data to PI.
• Maintain positive working relationships with research team and other members of the department.
• Perform other research clerical duties as required.
