Job Summary

The Department of Orthopaedic Surgery at Cincinnati Children’s Hospital Medical Center is seeking a highly qualified orthopaedic surgeon with fellowship training in pediatric orthopaedic surgery to join its faculty as an Assistant, Associate, or Professor. This full‑time position offers the opportunity to contribute to a nationally recognized pediatric orthopaedics program within a leading medical center known for excellence in patient care and research.

Responsibilities
  • Provide comprehensive orthopaedic care to pediatric patients, including evaluation, diagnosis, and treatment of congenital and developmental conditions, traumatic injuries, and general pediatric orthopaedic care with particular focus on the hand and foot, including operative and non‑operative management and clubfoot casting.
  • Teach and mentor orthopaedic surgery residents and pediatric orthopaedic fellows through didactic lectures, clinical supervision, and skills training.
  • Engage in clinical research, outcomes research, quality improvement initiatives, or translational research aligned with institutional priorities.
  • Support scholarship through publication of clinical investigations, reviews, or other contributions to the field.
  • Participate in service, administration, and program development, including committee work and performance improvement programs.
  • Maintain currency in departmental policies, procedures, and standards, and promote teamwork and interprofessional collaboration.
Qualifications
  • Doctor of Medicine (MD), Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO), or equivalent.
  • Unrestricted licensed physician and approval/credentialing from CCHMC Medical Staff Services Division.
  • Board‑certified or board‑eligible in Orthopaedic Surgery and completion of fellowship training in pediatric orthopaedic surgery.
  • Assistant Professor appointment or eligibility; preferred board certification.
  • Prior clinical practice experience may be required based on department needs.
