McLeod Health in North Myrtle Beach, SC is seeking a Board Certified Orthopaedic Sports Surgeon to join a growing coastal practice. The chosen candidate will play a key role in both general orthopedics and sports medicine, collaborating with a dedicated team to expand the program along the coast.

The position offers a competitive salary, a sign-on bonus, relocation allowance, full benefits, CME days and allowance, paid malpractice, PSLF eligibility, and access to EPIC EMR.

Qualifications

• Board-certified orthopedic surgeon with a focus on sports medicine.
• Experience preferred; new graduates considered.
• General orthopedics required.

Responsibilities

• Established & growing sports program.
• 1 Sports Surgeon, 2 non-operative sports physicians, and 1 Sports APP.
• Orthopedics include 3 joint surgeons, 1 foot & ankle, 1 upper, 1 spine and a large team of Advanced Practice Providers.
• Practice and OR time with growing ORs and freestanding surgical center access.
• ED call rotates amongst the Surgeons.
• Team of 9 Advanced Practice Providers assist in inpatient call rotation.
• Affiliated with local high schools and colleges.
• Explain responsibilities and expectations to trainees and staff.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• Established & growing sports program!
• 1 Sports Surgeon, 2 non-operative sports physicians, and 1 Sports APP.
• Orthopedics include 3 joint surgeons, 1 foot & ankle, 1 upper, 1 spine and a large team of Advanced Practice Providers.

A 43-acre campus, McLeod Health Carolina Forest will be home to a seven-building campus offering a variety of services. In addition, a $56 million, four-story state-of-the-art facility is expected to offer 48 beds, ensuring that all patients have access to immediate care. Expected to be completed within the next two years, with an anticipated opening date of 2026.
