Michigan Orthopaedic Surgeons Pllc in Royal Oak is seeking a Clinical Support Assistant to bolster the clinical team with strong emphasis on phone triage and patient coordination. You will manage calls, document interactions in the EMR, and support follow-up to ensure smooth clinic operations.

The role involves rooming patients, taking vitals, and assisting with basic procedures while upholding HIPAA compliance and patient-first care in a fast-paced orthopedic setting.

Formación

• Experience in a healthcare or clinical setting is preferred.
• Familiarity with EMR systems and patient workflow is a plus.
• Knowledge of HIPAA regulations and patient privacy.

Responsabilidades

• Manage calls in the clinical queue by triaging patient symptoms, questions, and requests according to established protocols.
• Document phone triage interactions clearly and accurately in the EMR and route patient cases to the appropriate provider or department.
• Assist with rooming patients, obtaining vitals, preparing exam rooms, and supporting minor clinical procedures (e.g., cast removal, splint removal).
• Maintain exam rooms and medical supply inventory, ensuring equipment and materials are organized, stocked, and readily available.
• Maintain clinic readiness, cleanliness, and compliance with HIPAA and organizational policies.
• Perform other duties as assigned to support patient care and clinical operations.
