Job summary

UF Health in Gainesville is seeking an entry-level Orthopaedic Cast Technician to support ambulatory clinic care under direct physician supervision. You will fabricate, apply, maintain and remove casts, splints and other orthopaedic dressings, and assist in patient flow and minor procedures.

You will help ensure visit notes, test results, and imaging are available for appointments, maintain a clean clinic, and handle inventory.

Qualifications

• Two years of full-time hospital/healthcare or physician's office experience.
• Multiple approved education pathways or certifications in orthopaedic or related fields.

Responsibilities

• Fabricate, apply, maintain and remove casts, splints, and orthopaedic dressings.
• Assist in clinical care and patient flow under supervision of a physician.
• Support nursing staff with examinations and minor procedures.
• Maintain clinic environment and manage inventory of supplies and equipment.
• Perform basic administrative duties: clerical work, insurance processing, and medical records.
