Job summary

Smile Vista Kids Dentistry & Orthodontics in Denver, CO is seeking a part-time orthodontist to join a pediatric-focused practice with a flexible schedule of 1–2 days per week in a collaborative environment where pediatric dentistry and orthodontics are offered under one roof.

This role involves comprehensive orthodontic evaluations and treatment for pediatric, adolescent, and adult patients, with braces, clear aligners, expanders, and other appliances.

Qualifications

  • DDS or DMD degree from an accredited dental school.
  • Completion of an ADA/CODA-accredited Orthodontic Residency Program.
  • Board-certified or board-eligible in Orthodontics.
  • Current BLS/CPR certification.
  • Current DEA registration or eligibility to obtain one.

Responsibilities

  • Provide comprehensive orthodontic evaluations and treatment for pediatric, adolescent, and adult patients.
  • Diagnose malocclusions and develop individualized treatment plans.
  • Provide early/interceptive and comprehensive orthodontic treatment.
  • Treat patients using braces, clear aligners, expanders, and other appliances.
  • Monitor treatment progress and make clinical adjustments as needed.
  • Educate patients and families regarding treatment options and expectations.
  • Communicate treatment recommendations and financial considerations with families.
  • Collaborate with the Pediatric Dentist to coordinate comprehensive patient care.
  • Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation.

About Smile Vista

Smile Vista Kids Dentistry & Orthodontics is seeking a part-time Orthodontist to join its pediatric-focused practice in Denver, CO.

This is an excellent opportunity for an Orthodontist looking for a flexible schedule of 1–2 days per week in a collaborative environment where pediatric dentistry and orthodontics are offered under one roof. The practice is committed to creating positive, comfortable experiences for children and their families while providing high-quality, individualized orthodontic care.

Position Overview
  • Position: Part-Time Orthodontist
  • Practice Focus: Pediatric Dentistry & Orthodontics
  • Patient Population: Children, adolescents, and adults
Responsibilities
  • Provide comprehensive orthodontic evaluations and treatment for pediatric, adolescent, and adult patients
  • Diagnose malocclusions and develop individualized treatment plans
  • Provide early/interceptive and comprehensive orthodontic treatment
  • Treat patients using traditional braces, clear aligners, expanders, and other appropriate orthodontic appliances
  • Monitor treatment progress and make clinical adjustments as needed
  • Evaluate growth and development and identify appropriate timing for orthodontic intervention
  • Educate patients and parents/guardians regarding treatment options, expectations, and oral hygiene
  • Clearly communicate treatment recommendations and financial considerations with families
  • Establish positive, long-term relationships with patients and their families
  • Collaborate with the Pediatric Dentist to coordinate comprehensive patient care
  • Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation
  • Stay current with advances in orthodontic techniques, technology, and treatment modalities
  • Deliver care consistent with accepted clinical standards and Colorado regulations
Qualifications & Requirements
  • DDS or DMD degree from an accredited dental school
  • Completion of an ADA/CODA-accredited Orthodontic Residency Program
  • Board-certified or board-eligible in Orthodontics
  • Current BLS/CPR certification
  • Current DEA registration or eligibility to obtain one, as applicable
  • Strong clinical and diagnostic skills
  • Experience treating children, adolescents, and adults
  • Proficiency with comprehensive orthodontic treatment planning
  • Strong understanding of growth and development and early/interceptive orthodontics
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to establish rapport with children and families
  • Strong behavioral and patient-management skills
  • Commitment to providing individualized, patient-centered care
  • Ability to work collaboratively with pediatric dental providers and the broader clinical team
  • Strong attention to detail, professionalism, and sound clinical judgment
