Smile Vista Kids Dentistry and Orthodontics is seeking a part-time Pediatric Dentist to join its growing pediatric dental and orthodontic practice in Denver, CO.

Located near Tennyson Street and W 38th Avenue, Smile Vista is designed specifically around creating positive, comfortable dental experiences for children and their families. The practice provides pediatric dentistry and orthodontics under one roof, allowing providers to coordinate care as children grow.

This opportunity is ideal for a Pediatric Dentist looking for 1–2 days per week in a specialty-focused, collaborative environment.

Position Overview

• Position: Pediatric Dentist
• Practice Focus: Pediatric Dentistry & Orthodontics
• Patient Population: Infants, children, adolescents, and patients with special needs

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive pediatric dental care from infancy through adolescence
• Perform new patient examinations, comprehensive exams, cleanings, fluoride treatments, and sealants
• Diagnose and develop individualized treatment plans
• Provide restorative pediatric dentistry, including fillings, crowns, and pulp therapy as appropriate
• Provide appropriate care for children with special needs and varying behavioral needs
• Educate parents and caregivers on oral hygiene, nutrition, prevention, and treatment recommendations
• Create positive, comfortable experiences for children who may be anxious or apprehensive about dental care
• Communicate treatment recommendations clearly and compassionately with parents and guardians
• Monitor dental growth and development and coordinate orthodontic referrals or treatment when appropriate
• Maintain accurate clinical documentation and patient records
• Collaborate closely with the orthodontist and clinical team to provide comprehensive care
• Practice in accordance with accepted clinical standards and Colorado dental regulations

Qualifications & Requirements

• DDS or DMD degree from an accredited dental school
• Completion of an accredited Pediatric Dentistry residency program
• Board-certified or board-eligible in Pediatric Dentistry
• Current BLS/CPR certification
• Current DEA registration or eligibility to obtain one, as applicable
• Strong clinical and diagnostic skills
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Comfortable treating infants, children, adolescents, and patients with special needs
• Strong behavioral management and patient communication skills
• Compassionate, patient, and child-centered approach
• Ability to work collaboratively with pediatric dental and orthodontic providers
