Job summary

Summerwood Smiles Dentistry and Orthodontics in Houston is seeking a dedicated Dental Assistant to support clinicians and deliver the Perfect Patient Experience.

You will prepare patients, assist with procedures, manage radiographs, sterilize equipment, and collaborate with front office to keep the schedule running smoothly. This role requires a high school diploma or GED, state-required certifications, and willingness to travel between offices if needed.

Qualifications

• Equivalent to high school diploma or GED and state-mandated training for certification, licensure, or registration.
• Certificates / Licenses / Registrations: as mandated by state.
• Specialty Dental Assistants must have a valid driver's license and car insurance and travel between offices.

Responsibilities

• Assist clinicians during patient care and prepare patients for examinations.
• Sterilize and set up operatories according to infection control guidelines.
• Take radiographs and intra-oral pictures as directed.
• Escort patients to the front desk and coordinate with front/back office teams.
• Maintain a clean, sterile, and cheerful environment.
