Smile Brands Inc. is seeking an Ortho Registered Dental Assistant to work closely with our dentist in a busy orthodontic practice in California. The role supports clinical care, prepares rooms, takes X-rays, and helps educate patients on oral hygiene while maintaining accurate records.

The ideal candidate has orthodontic RDA credentials, CPR/BLS certification, and is willing to travel if needed. We offer benefits based on hours worked and a supportive team environment.

Qualifications

• Must be a licensed/registered dental assistant with orthodontic experience.
• CPR or BLS certification is required.
• Experience as an orthodontic assistant is required.

Responsibilities

• Prepare treatment rooms and sterilize dental instruments
• Assist the dentist during procedures by handing instruments and ensuring patient comfort
• Take and develop X-rays as needed
• Educate patients on proper oral hygiene and post-procedure care
• Maintain accurate patient records and update charts
• Manage inventory and order dental supplies as required
• Ensure compliance with infection control protocols and safety regulations
• Assist with front office tasks, such as scheduling appointments and processing payments, if needed
