Job summary

Orthodent Laboratory is seeking production technicians to handcraft and finish custom orthodontic appliances in our Buffalo facility. You will learn through a paid training program, bending wires, polishing components, and operating specialized equipment to meet our quality standards.

The role emphasizes precision, teamwork, and a commitment to quality. Typical schedule is Monday–Friday, 7:00 AM–3:30 PM, with overtime and occasional Saturdays as needed.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED preferred.
  • Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English.
  • No prior laboratory or dental experience required—we provide paid training.

Responsibilities

  • Handcrafting custom orthodontic appliances using specialized tools and equipment.
  • Bending orthodontic wires to precise specifications.
  • Finishing and polishing stainless steel appliances.
  • Operating laser welding and other manufacturing equipment.
  • Working with acrylics, metals, and other specialty materials.
  • Collecting, organizing, and processing customer cases.
  • Inspecting your work to ensure it meets our quality standards.
  • Maintaining a clean, organized, and safe work area.

What We're Looking For

We're looking for dependable, detail-oriented individuals who enjoy working with their hands and take pride in producing high-quality work. No previous orthodontic or dental laboratory experience is required. We'll teach you everything you need to know through our paid, hands-on training program. What You'll Do

As an Orthodontic Laboratory Production Technician, you'll help manufacture custom orthodontic appliances that improve patients' smiles and quality of life. Depending on your department, your work may include:

  • Handcrafting custom orthodontic appliances using specialized tools and equipment.
  • Bending orthodontic wires to precise specifications.
  • Finishing and polishing stainless steel appliances.
  • Operating laser welding and other manufacturing equipment.
  • Working with acrylics, metals, and other specialty materials.
  • Collecting, organizing, and processing customer cases.
  • Inspecting your work to ensure it meets our quality standards.
  • Maintaining a clean, organized, and safe work area.

Every appliance you complete is custom-made for an individual patient, making attention to detail and craftsmanship essential.
