Job summary

Berkeley Orthodontics is seeking a dedicated Dental Assistant to support patients throughout their visits. You will take radiographs, impressions, and intraoral photos, and prepare the treatment room with sterile equipment.

The role requires an active dental license/registration and CODA-accredited training (preferred). You will collaborate closely with the orthodontist to implement treatment plans and ensure a smooth, patient-focused experience.

Qualifications

• Completion of a CODA-accredited dental assisting program (preferred).
• Active license/registration to practice as a dental assistant, as required by the state.
• Proficiency fitting bands and brackets, tying arch wires, and taking impressions.
• Punctual, professional, and a strong team player.
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
• Organized with strong knowledge of dentistry and dental terminology.

Responsibilities

• Greet and support patients before, during, and after their appointment.
• Take and process dental radiographs, impressions, and intraoral photos.
• Prepare and sterilize the treatment room and equipment.
• Document orthodontic care by charting patient records.
• Assist the orthodontist in assessing patients and implementing treatment plans.
• Perform routine orthodontic duties, including adjusting orthodontic gear.
