Job summary

Vitana Pediatric & Orthodontic Partners is seeking a motivated Orthodontic Assistant to join our close-knit team. You will chairside assist, travel between Decatur, Cumming and Norcross, and support both clinical and front-office staff to keep the clinic running smoothly.

The ideal candidate has orthodontic assisting experience, X-ray certification, strong interpersonal skills, and a detail-oriented, patient-focused approach.

Qualifications

• Previous orthodontic assisting experience.
• X-ray certification required.
• Strong interpersonal and teamwork skills.
• Detail-oriented, organized; enjoys working with patients.

Responsibilities

• Chairside assisting for orthodontic procedures.
• Taking impressions, digital scans and X-rays.
• Educating patients and parents on appliance care, hygiene and treatment expectations.
• Supporting treatment planning, tracking appliance progress, and assisting both doctor and front-office staff.
• Being proactive in setup, cleanup, sterilization and supporting clinic flow.
• Travel between locations when needed — flexibility is key.
• Being reliable: first to arrive, last to leave when needed.

Position Overview

We’re looking for a motivatedOrthodontic Assistantwho is comfortable assisting in treatment, traveling between locations as needed, and working closely within a tight-knit team.

Responsibilities

• Chairside assisting for orthodontic procedures (e.g., bonding, debonding, archwires, appliance adjustments)
• Taking impressions, digital scans and X-rays with confidence
• Educating patients (and parents) on appliance care, hygiene and treatment expectations
• Supporting treatment planning, tracking appliance progress, and assisting both doctor and front-office staff
• Being proactive in setup, cleanup, sterilization and supporting clinic flow
• Travel between locations when needed — flexibility is key
• Being reliable: first to arrive, last to leave when needed
