Job summary

Friendly Dental Group in Charlotte, NC is seeking an experienced Orthodontic Assistant to join our busy team in a fast-paced clinical environment. You will assist orthodontists chairside, prepare treatment rooms, and help maintain patient flow while delivering excellent patient care.

Ideal candidates have at least 1 year of orthodontic assisting experience, NC radiology certification, CPR/BLS, and strong communication skills.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 1 year orthodontic assisting experience.
• Current NC radiology certification.
• Valid CPR/BLS certification.
• Strong communication and customer service skills.
• Ability to multitask in a fast-paced clinical environment.
• Dependable, team-oriented, and committed to excellent patient care.

Responsibilities

• Assist orthodontists chairside with bonding, banding, wire adjustments, and other procedures.
• Prepare treatment rooms and sterilize instruments.
• Take dental X-rays and intraoral photographs.
• Fabricate Essix retainers and pour dental models.
• Maintain accurate patient records and treatment charts.
• Educate patients on oral hygiene and orthodontic appliance care.
• Support efficient patient flow and provide a positive patient experience.
