Job summary

DOCS Health in California is seeking an experienced orthodontic dental assistant to support our patient-focused practice. You will assist with bonding, braces, impressions, iTero scanning, Invisalign, and chairside care while maintaining clean, sterile treatment areas.

Requirements: current Dental Assistant certification, at least 1 year orthodontic experience, X-ray and CPR/BLS, and ability to obtain Real ID before start. Schedule: 1–2 Fridays per month, 7:45 AM–4:00 PM, on-site.

Qualifications

• Current Dental Assistant certification valid in the applying state.
• Minimum 1 year of orthodontic experience.
• X-Ray Certification.
• CPR/BLS Certification.
• Must possess or obtain Real ID Driver's License prior to start date.
• Preferred: Expanded Duty Dental Assistant certification.
• Preferred: Nitrous & Coronal Polishing certifications.

Responsibilities

• Perform orthodontic procedures, including bonding, tie bands, and braces.
• Take impressions and operate iTero scanning systems.
• Assist with Invisalign and 6 Month Smiles treatments.
• Prepare patients for procedures and provide chairside support.
• Operate dental software and clinical equipment.
• Set up, break down, and maintain treatment areas, including sterilization and biohazard disposal.
• Adhere to infection control, safety protocols, and required clinical reporting.
