Job summary

DOCS Health is seeking a qualified Orthodontic Dental Assistant to join our practice on a part-time basis. You will bond, tie bands, and assist with braces, while taking impressions and running iTero scanners.

This role includes chairside support, patient preparation, and maintaining sterile, compliant treatment areas. Required are a current Dental Assistant certification, 1 year orthodontic experience, X-Ray and CPR/BLS certifications, and the ability to obtain a Real ID driver's license before

Qualifications

• Current Dental Assistant certification valid in the state of practice.
• Minimum 1 year orthodontic experience required.
• X-Ray Certification is required.
• CPR/BLS Certification required.
• Must have or obtain Real ID driver license before start date.

Responsibilities

• Perform orthodontic procedures: bonding, tying bands, braces.
• Take impressions and operate iTero scanning systems.
• Assist with Invisalign and other aligner treatments.
• Prepare patients and provide chairside support during procedures.
• Operate dental software and clinical equipment.
• Maintain treatment areas, sterilization, and waste disposal.

Schedule

1 - 2 Fridays a Month: 7:45 AM – 4:00 PM

Responsibilities

• Perform orthodontic procedures, including bonding, tie bands, and braces
• Take impressions and operate iTero scanning systems
• Assist with Invisalign and 6 Month Smiles treatments
• Prepare patients for procedures and provide chairside support
• Operate dental software and clinical equipment
• Set up, break down, and maintain treatment areas, including sterilization and biohazard disposal
• Adhere to infection control, safety protocols, and required clinical reporting

Requirements

• Current Dental Assistant certification (In the state you are applying to).
• Minimum of 1 year of orthodontic experience
• X-Ray Certification
• CPR/BLS Certification
• Must possess, or be willing to obtain, a Real ID Drivers License prior to start date.
• Preferred: Expanded Duty Dental Assistant and/or Nitrous & Coronal Polishing certifications.
