Job summary

Docs-Health- in Fort Meade, MD is seeking an experienced Orthodontic Dental Assistant to support our orthodontic team with patient care and chairside assistance.

The role focuses on precise bonding, impressions, Invisalign support, and thorough infection control while maintaining strong patient rapport. This on-site, full-time position requires current DANB license, X-ray and CPR/BLS certifications, and a commitment to safety and patient satisfaction.

Qualifications

  • Current Dental Assistant license or DANB certification.
  • Minimum 2 years of orthodontic experience.
  • X-Ray Certification and CPR/BLS Certification.
  • Must have or be willing to obtain a Real ID prior to starting.
  • Valid Driver's License and reliable transportation.

Responsibilities

  • Apply orthodontic techniques including tie bands, bonding, and standard braces
  • Perform impressions and utilize Itero scanning technology
  • Assist with Invisalign and 6-month Smiles procedures
  • Build rapport with patients and prepare them for dental work
  • Maintain excellent verbal and written communication
  • Operate dental software and equipment proficiently
  • Set up and break down procedures, including proper disposal of biohazards
  • Sterilize and disinfect instruments and equipment
  • Adhere to all infection control procedures
  • Complete daily and monthly clerical reporting

Schedule:
  • One Tuesday & One Thursday per month: 8:00 AM – 4:00 PM
Responsibilities:
  • Apply orthodontic techniques including tie bands, bonding, and standard braces
  • Perform impressions and utilize Itero scanning technology
  • Assist with Invisalign and 6-month Smiles procedures
  • Build rapport with patients and prepare them for dental work
