Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Clinical support: prepare treatment rooms, sterilize instruments, assist dentists during procedures.
• Patient care: welcome, comfort, and educate patients on oral hygiene and post-treatment care.
• Radiography & diagnostics: take/develop X-rays, assist with impressions, maintain study models.
• Compliance & safety: follow infection control, patient confidentiality, workplace rules.
• Maintain records: scheduling and patient intake as needed.
• Assist in emergencies: CPR certified, manage emergency drugs/oxygen and directory.

Position Overview:As a Dental Assistant you are an integral part of care team in providing support to the office and assisting the professional dental staff with treatment. Responsibilities

• Compliance & Safety: Ensure infection control protocols, maintain patient confidentiality, and follow workplace regulations..
• Maintain accurate patient records and documentation, including scheduling and patient intake (if needed)
• Helps dentist manage dental and medical emergencies by maintaining CPR certification, emergency drug and oxygen supply, and emergency telephone directory.

Qualifications

• Completion of a one-year certified dental assistant program OR 1 year of experienece
• X-Ray certification Preferred
• Certified Orthodontic Assistant - Preferred
• Nitrous Oxide certification is highly recommended
• High school diploma or equivalent

Dental Assistant are also expected to maintain annual OSHA, HIPAA, CPR, and infection control training as required by law.
