Job summary

Rad Orthodontics in Germantown, MD is seeking an Orthodontic Clinician I to join our growing team. You will assist with placing and removing appliances, review charts, and perform lab duties under the supervision of an orthodontist.

You’ll triage remote-monitoring scans, educate patients, and maintain strict infection-control standards while collaborating with a dedicated team within the Smile Doctors family.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; dental assisting experience preferred.
• DA, radiography, CPR certifications may be required by state boards.
• Strong patient communication and multitasking skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist in placing and removing orthodontic appliances under close supervision.
• Review patient charts, log data, and transcribe doctor notes.
• Perform laboratory procedures under supervision of the orthodontist.
• Review remote monitoring dashboard and triage patient scans/ messages.
• Educate patients on orthodontic care and infection-control protocols.
• Sterilize and prepare equipment and operatory; adhere to infection control.
