Job summary

Children's Wisconsin is seeking an orthodontic assistant to support the orthodontist with radiographs, impressions, and reversible procedures. You will disinfect the work area, sterilize instruments, and manage supplies while preparing models and appliances in the lab.

Strong hand-eye coordination and precision are essential to work directly in the patient’s mouth. The role requires at least a year in orthodontic practice, familiarity with CBCT radiographs, and a current CPR/BLS certification.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Minimum of one year experience in orthodontic or orthodontic/pediatric practice.
• Familiarity with intra- and extra-oral radiographs including CBCT.
• Current CPR/BLS certification required.

Responsibilities

• Take radiographs, photos, and impressions; perform reversible orthodontic procedures.
• Disinfect work areas and sterilize instruments and equipment.
• Monitor supply levels and expiration dates of materials.
• Perform laboratory tasks such as pouring models and fabricating appliances.
• Assist with scheduling and liaising with insurance/financial representatives.
