Children's Wisconsin is seeking an orthodontic assistant to support the orthodontist with radiographs, impressions, and reversible procedures. You will disinfect the work area, sterilize instruments, and manage supplies while preparing models and appliances in the lab.
Strong hand-eye coordination and precision are essential to work directly in the patient’s mouth. The role requires at least a year in orthodontic practice, familiarity with CBCT radiographs, and a current CPR/BLS certification.

Under the direction of the orthodontist takes radiographs, photos, impressions and completes reversible orthodontic procedures. Responsible for the disinfection of the work area and sterilization of instruments and equipment, monitors supply levels and expiration dates. Performs laboratory functions; such as pouring up models, fabrication and repair of appliances. Individuals must have great control of the small muscles of hands and fingers and exceptional hand-eye coordination to work precisely with small instruments and orthodontic components directly in the patient's mouth. Administrative functions may include scheduling patient appointments and liaising with insurance/financial representatives.
