Job summary

TDR Orthodontics, part of the Smile Doctors family, is seeking an Orthodontic Assistant to join our growing team in Michigan. You will support the orthodontist by placing and removing appliances, preparing rooms, and educating patients on remote monitoring.

Qualified candidates will have a high school diploma or equivalent, dental assisting credentials as needed by state boards, and CPR certification if required. Experience in orthodontics is preferred.

Qualifications

• Must have a High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Dental Assistant certification may be required by state Dental Board.
• Radiography certification preferred.
• CPR certification if required by state Dental Board.

Responsibilities

• Assist in placing and removing orthodontic appliances under the Orthodontist's supervision.
• Review patient charts, log data and transcribe doctor notes.
• Perform laboratory procedures under close supervision of the Orthodontist.
• Review remote monitoring dashboard and triage patient scans and messages.
• Educate patients on orthodontic care and remote monitoring.
• Clean, sterilize, and prepare equipment and operatory.
• Adhere to infection-control policies and protocols.
