Job summary

Southern Orthodontic Partners is hiring an Orthodontic Assistant / Dental Assistant to join a growing orthodontic practice. This full-time dental assisting position focuses on chairside assistance, patient education, and thriving in a fast-paced orthodontic environment.

The role involves assisting during procedures, taking X-rays and impressions, preparing and sterilizing rooms, and maintaining patient records. Office locations include Aventura and Miami Beach.

Qualifications

• 1-2 years of experience as a Dental Assistant or Orthodontic Assistant (preferred).
• RDA or CDA certification (preferred).
• Compassionate, reliable, and team-oriented mindset.

Responsibilities

• Assist orthodontists chairside during procedures.
• Place, adjust, and remove braces, brackets, and bands as directed.
• Take X-rays, scans, impressions, and patient progress photos.
• Prepare treatment rooms and sterilize instruments.
• Educate patients and parents on oral hygiene and braces aftercare.
• Maintain accurate patient records in EMR.
• Coordinate with clinical and front office teams; cross-train as needed.
