Job summary

GKG Orthodontics seeks an Orthodontic Assistant to join our growing team and deliver a positive clinical experience while following state laws and practice policies. You will work under the orthodontist and support patient care, charting, and clerical tasks.

Responsibilities include assisting with appliances, reviewing remote monitoring data, educating patients, and maintaining sterilization and infection-control standards. This is an on-site position within the Smile Doctors family.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Dental Assistant certification if required by state Dental Board.
• Radiography certification if required by state Dental Board.
• CPR certification if required by state Dental Board.
• Some dental/orthodontic industry experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist in placing and removing orthodontic appliances under close supervision.
• Review patient charts, log data, and transcribe doctor notes.
• Review remote monitoring dashboard and triage patient scans and messages.
• Educate patients on orthodontic care and remote monitoring.
• Clean, sterilize, and prepare equipment and operatory per protocols.
• Adhere to infection-control policies and protocols.
