Job summary

Paciorek Orthodontics in Town of Camillus, NY is seeking an Orthodontic Assistant to join a growing, high-tech practice. You will support the doctors and patients, contribute to a positive, friendly team environment, and help deliver excellent orthodontic care.

Responsibilities include chairside support, patient education, charting, and sterilization. Prior experience is a plus, but energetic, motivated candidates are welcome to apply.

Responsibilities

• Establish a trusting rapport with patients and provide high level of service.
• Educate patients on orthodontic care and treatment practices.
• Chairside assistance with orthodontic care and appliance placement/removal.
• Take X-rays and photographs; fabricate retainers as needed.
• Maintain patient charts and transcribe doctor notes accurately.

Our GROWING Orthodontic office is looking for a new team member!

We are a fast-paced, patient-focused, high-tech Orthodontic office in search of a candidate with a positive attitude and excellent work ethic. Someone who is both professional and able to multitask as anOrthodonticAssistant. Must be energetic, enthusiastic and a self-motivated team player with great communication and people skills that is interested in making a difference in patient\'s lives.

Experience and certification is a plus but not required.

Pay Range: $18-$22 per hour

Benefits: Full time hours Monday thru Thursday admin hrs. on Fridays, health care coverage, paid holidays, and paid vacation. 401K, uniform allowance, amazing opportunity for bonuses, and more.

Summary of Position:

The Orthodontic Assistant is a pivotal role to Paciorek Orthodontics and serves as the primary supporting person to our doctor team. This role will assist with various activities in working with the doctors and patients alike and will strive to be a positive, friendly, and professional addition to the team.

• Establish a trusting rapport with patients, ensuring the highest level of patient customer service is given to all patients
• Educate the patients on orthodontic care and treatment practices
• Work chairsidewithpatient care including assisting in placing and removing orthodontic appliances
• Taking X-Rays, pictures, fabricating retainers
• Maintain patients’ charts and transcribe the doctor notes accurately
• Keep patient roomsstocked and organized as well as clean, sterilize, and prepare the equipment
• Be receptive to coaching and training from doctors to better develop skillset
• Other duties as required

Education and Experience

• High School Diploma, GED or equivalent
• 1-3 Years Relative Experience Preferred
