Job summary

Smile Doctors in Southern Pines, NC is seeking an Orthodontic Clinician II to join our growing orthodontic team. You will assist with appliances, records, and patient flow while following state laws and clinic policies under the Orthodontist supervision.

You will also manage remote monitoring, educate patients, maintain sterility, and participate in community events. This role requires a dental assistant certification and state radiography/CPR as applicable, with a dedication to quality patient

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Minimum 1 year orthodontic experience or 6 months as Clinician I.
• Dental Assistant certification and radiography/cpr as required by state boards.

Responsibilities

• Assist in placing and removing orthodontic appliances and taking full records under supervision.
• Maintain schedule and patient flow with efficient chair time and accurate charting.
• Review patient charts, log data, and transcribe doctor notes.
• Perform laboratory procedures under supervision of an Orthodontist.
• Assist in remote monitoring by reviewing patient scans, triaging messages, and coordinating care.
• Educate patients on orthodontic care and remote monitoring processes.
• Clean, sterilize, and prepare equipment and operatory following infection-control protocols.
• Support local store marketing and community events.
• Adhere to all infection-control policies and protocols.
