A dental practice in Silverdale is seeking an Orthodontic Assistant responsible for providing clinical patient care and assisting with orthodontic procedures. Responsibilities

• Prepare patients for treatment by welcoming, comforting, and seating them.
• Assist the Orthodontist with consultations and all stages of orthodontic procedures.
• Clean/disinfect operatories and sterilize instruments.
• Take x-rays, photos, impressions, and intraoral scans.
• Provide patient instruction/education.
• Provide reports to parents/guardians.
• Assist the Orthodontist with consultations and all stages of orthodontic procedures.
• Clean/disinfect operatories and sterilize instruments and devices.
• Set up trays and prepare brackets for bonding.
• Perform other tasks as assigned by the Doctor, Clinical Lead, and Practice Manager.

About the role: The Orthodontic Assistant is a key member of our clinical team, responsible for providing all aspects of clinical patient care in a professional, efficient, and caring manner. The Orthodontic Assistant is performing a wide range of orthodontic procedures, as well as assisting the doctor during appointments, sterilization procedures, and occasional minor lab work. Must be willing to travel to all three locations: Silverdale, Poulsbo, and Port Orchard.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare patients for treatment by welcoming, comforting, and seating them.

• Enter detailed chart/record notations in the practice management system.
• Take x-rays, photos, impressions, and intraoral scans.
• Provide patient instruction/education.
• Provide reports to parents/guardians.

• Clean/disinfect operatories and sterilize instruments and devices.
• Set up trays and prepare brackets for bonding.
