Job summary

Hess-Orthodontics is hiring an Orthodontic Assistant / Dental Assistant to join our growing practice in a full-time role. You’ll work chairside with orthodontists, assist with braces, take X-rays and scans, and help educate patients during a fast-paced environment.

This position emphasizes patient care, teamwork, and accurate record-keeping in EMR, with opportunities to cross-train with front office staff. Compensation offered is competitive for the region.

Qualifications

• 1–2 years of experience as a Dental Assistant or Orthodontic Assistant (preferred).
• RDA or CDA certification (preferred).
• Compassionate, reliable, and team-oriented mindset.

Responsibilities

• Assist orthodontists chairside during procedures.
• Place, adjust, and remove braces, brackets, and bands (as directed).
• Take X-rays, scans, impressions, and patient progress photos.
• Prepare treatment rooms and sterilize instruments.
• Educate patients and parents on oral hygiene and braces aftercare.
• Maintain accurate patient records in EMR.
• Coordinate with clinical and front office teams; cross-train as needed.
