Qualifications

  • Current state licensure as a Dental Assistant (RDA) required.
  • Previous orthodontic assisting experience preferred; dental assisting experience will be considered.
  • Knowledge of orthodontic procedures, instruments, and appliances.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Friendly, patient-focused approach to patient care.

Responsibilities

  • Assist the orthodontist during exams and orthodontic procedures.
  • Prepare treatment rooms, instruments, and orthodontic materials.
  • Place and remove arch wires, bands, and brackets as directed.
  • Take digital impressions, photos, and X-rays in compliance with safety standards.
  • Educate patients on appliance care and oral hygiene.
  • Maintain sterilization, infection control, and OSHA compliance.
  • Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned by management.

What You'll Do

As an Orthodontic Assistant, you will support the orthodontist and clinical team in delivering high-quality orthodontic care while helping create a positive and comfortable experience for every patient.


Your responsibilities will include:


  • Assist the orthodontist during exams and orthodontic procedures

  • Prepare treatment rooms, instruments, and orthodontic materials

  • Place and remove arch wires, bands, and brackets as directed

  • Take digital impressions, photos, and X-rays in compliance with safety standards

  • Educate patients on appliance care and oral hygiene
