Job summary

Papandreas Orthodontics in North Royalton, OH, is seeking a personable, motivated Orthodontic Assistant to join our team long-term. This role offers growth in a friendly, patient-focused environment with opportunities to learn both clinical skills and practice operations.

The position supports the orthodontist with braces placement, patient prep, retention fabrication, wire work, sterilization, and comprehensive patient education, while maintaining records and office flow.

Qualifications

• Prior dental or medical assisting experience preferred but not required, we will train.
• X-ray certification preferred.
• Positive attitude and strong work ethic.
• Team player with a growth mindset and willingness to learn.

Responsibilities

• Assist the orthodontist with placing and adjusting braces, archwires, and other orthodontic appliances.
• Prepare patients for treatment and provide excellent patient care throughout their visit.
• Fabricate retainers, aligners, and orthodontic models using digital and manual techniques.
• Perform wire bending, trimming, and polishing of appliances.
• Maintain sterilization and cleanliness of instruments and equipment.
• Educate patients on oral hygiene and appliance care.
• Maintain accurate patient records and assist with overall office flow.
