Smile Doctors in New Lenox, IL is seeking an Orthodontic Assistant to join our growing team. You will assist in placing and removing appliances, review patient charts, and support the orthodontist to deliver a positive clinical experience.

You will perform lightweight lab work, help with sterilization and infection control, educate patients on care and remote monitoring, and help manage schedules while upholding state dental standards. CPR and radiography certs may be required.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Some dental/orthodontic industry experience preferred.
• Dental Assistant certification if required by state Dental Board.
• Radiography certification if required by state Dental Board.
• CPR certification if required by state Dental Board.

Responsibilities

• Assist in placing and removing orthodontic appliances under close supervision of the Orthodontist.
• Review patient charts, log appropriate patient data and transcribe doctor notes.
• Perform laboratory procedures under close supervision of the Orthodontist.
• Review remote monitoring dashboard including review/triage patient scans and triage notifications.
• Educate patients on orthodontic care and remote monitoring.
• Clean, sterilize, and prepare the equipment and operatory following standard protocols.
• Adhere to infection-control policies and protocols.
