Cumberland Pediatric Dentistry and Orthodontics, an affiliate of Spark Dental Management, has an immediate opportunity available for an Orthodontic Dental Assistant!

We are seeking a skilled Orthodontic Dental Assistant to join our team. We offer a supportive and collaborative work environment where you can grow your skills while making a positive impact on patients' oral health.

• Must be able to work in a pediatric, child-friendly environment.
• Review all hygiene patient charts, including reason and necessity of visit, medical history, and x-ray requirements.
• Verify patient information with parent or guardian, according to HIPAA privacy standards.
• Verify the patient has consent for treatment from parent or guardian.
• Advise parent or guardian on what to expect during the visit and address any concerns.
• Charting all existing/missing teeth, restorations, and dental procedures.
• Obtain all necessary x-rays in the best quality possible.
• Maintain accurate clinical notes of each visit.
• Clean and sterilize all instruments following OSHA and company standards, including scrubbing instruments, packing, and processing through sterilizers.
• Maintain Dental Assisting License in good standing and complete required CE credits.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Current CPR Healthcare Provider Certification (Preferred).
• Dental office experience (Preferred).
• Since working with children, a criminal background check is required.
