Job summary

Smile Doctors Orthodontics in Knoxville, TN is seeking an Orthodontic Assistant to join our growing team. You will deliver positive clinical experiences, assist the orthodontist, and help maintain a clean, efficient operatory, while following all policy and state rules.

The role requires CPR, radiography certification, and state-required Dental Assistant certification; strong patient communication and multi-tasking ability is essential.

Qualifications

CPR Certification may be required by state board
Dental Assistant certification if required by state dental board
Radiography certification if required by state dental board
CPR certification if required by state dental board

Responsibilities

Assist in placing and removing orthodontic appliances under close supervision of the orthodontist
Review patient charts, log patient data and transcribe doctor notes
Perform laboratory procedures under close supervision of the orthodontist
Review remote monitoring dashboard and triage patient scans and messages
Educate patients on orthodontic care and remote monitoring
Clean, sterilize and prepare equipment and operatory following protocols
Adhere to infection-control policies and protocols

Requirements

License & Certification: Cardiopulmonary resuscitation
Dental Assistant certification if required by the state Dental Board
Radiography certification if required by the state Dental Board
CPR certification if required by the state Dental Board

Job Description

How you’ll make us better: Responsible for delivering positive clinical experience to all patients while following strict adherence to company policies as well as state dental laws, rules and regulations under the direction and close supervision of an Orthodontist.

Assist in placing and removing orthodontic appliances under close supervision of the Orthodontist
