Job summary

Triad Orthodontics (Greensboro-NIcholas) is part of Kids Dental Brands, a growing network of pediatric dental and orthodontic practices that support local offices with shared resources and a patient-centered mission.

We’re seeking an Orthodontic Assistant to work chair-side with the orthodontist, perform patient care and lab tasks, take molds, adjust braces, and ensure a comfortable, positive visit for children, teens, and young adults.

Qualifications

• Current CPR/BLS Certification.
• North Carolina Radiation Certification or DANB Radiation Certification preferred.
• DA Certificate (CDA, DA I, or DA II) preferred.

Responsibilities

• Work chair-side with Orthodontist, perform patient care and general lab duties.
• Preparing and taking patient molds.
• Changing out rubber bands, wires, and brackets.
• Adjusting fit of clear aligners such as Invisalign.
• Take and process dental radiographs (x-rays).
• Prepare and sterilize instruments and equipment.
• Teach patients appropriate oral hygiene strategies to maintain oral health.
• Help patients feel comfortable before, during, and after dental treatment.

What You’ll Do

• Work chair-side with Orthodontist, perform patient care, and general laboratory duties
• Preparing and taking patient molds
• Changing out rubber bands, wires, and brackets
• Adjusting fit of clear aligners such as Invisalign
• Take and process dental radiographs (x-rays)
• Prepare and sterilize instruments and equipment
• Teach patients appropriate oral hygiene strategies to maintain oral health (e.g., tooth brushing, flossing, and nutritional counseling)
• Help patients feel comfortable before, during, and after dental treatment
• Provide patients with instructions for oral care following surgery or other dental treatment procedures

$17 - $17 an hour
