Job summary

Sonoran Smile Orthodontics in Gilbert, AZ is seeking an experienced Orthodontic Assistant to support our orthodontist in a fast-paced, patient-centered practice. This part-time role offers a dedicated single-site position with a collaborative team.

Responsibilities include assisting during procedures, taking digital X-rays and photos, preparing rooms and equipment, and educating patients on braces care. Excellent communication and meticulous attention to detail are essential, with compensation

Qualifications

• Previous orthodontic assisting experience is required.
• Current Arizona dental assisting credentials preferred.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills; attention to detail.

• Take digital X-rays, impressions, intraoral scans, and clinical photographs.
• Prepare treatment rooms, instruments, and equipment.
• Follow OSHA, infection-control, and sterilization standards.
• Place and remove orthodontic appliances as directed by the orthodontist.
• Educate patients on oral hygiene and braces care.
• Document treatment notes and patient progress.
• Maintain inventory and organized clinical area.
• Provide an exceptional patient experience from start to finish.

We are seeking an experienced Orthodontic Assistant to join our Gilbert office on a part-time basis.

Responsibilities

• Assist the orthodontist during clinical procedures
• Take digital X-rays, impressions, intraoral scans, and clinical photographs
• Prepare treatment rooms, instruments, and equipment
