Job summary

Martin Orthodontics in Evansville, IN is looking for a friendly Part-Time Orthodontic Assistant to join our team and help deliver exceptional patient care. You will assist with orthodontic procedures, educate patients, take records, and maintain a clean, organized treatment area.

The ideal candidate has 2 years of dental assisting experience, Indiana X-ray license (or working toward certification), strong communication, and teamwork.

Qualifications

• 2 years of dental assisting experience preferred.
• Indiana X-ray license required or currently working toward certification.
• Strong communication skills and a patient-focused attitude.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.

Responsibilities

• Build trusting relationships with patients and provide an exceptional patient experience.
• Assist with placing and removing orthodontic appliances and adjusting arch wires, elastic ties, power chains, and other auxiliaries as permitted by state regulations.
• Educate patients on orthodontic care, headgear use, and rubber band instructions.
• Take orthodontic records, including panoramic and cephalometric X-rays.
• Maintain accurate patient charts, document doctor's notes, and review home care instructions with patients and guardians.
• Perform laboratory procedures, including pouring and trimming models and fabricating clear aligners.
• Keep treatment areas stocked and organized, and clean, sterilize, and prepare instruments and equipment.

Schedule

• Monday & Thursday: 7:30 AM - 4:30 PM

Qualifications
