Levens Orthodontics is seeking an Orthodontic Assistant to join a patient-focused team. You will support clinicians, educate patients, take x-rays, and maintain records in a collaborative environment. The role emphasizes exceptional patient care and hands-on orthodontic procedures.

Qualifications

• 1 year dental assisting experience.
• Current BLS/CPR certification.

Responsabilités

• Establish rapport with patients and ensure a positive patient experience.
• Place and remove arch wires, elastics, power chains, and other auxiliaries.
• Educate patients on orthodontic care and instructions.
• Assist in placing/removing appliances and taking full records (x-rays).
• Maintain charts, transcribe notes, and relay home care instructions.
• Perform model pours and fabricate clear aligners.
• Keep chairs stocked, clean, and sterilize equipment.

Your Schedule

• Schedule: Monday: 9:30 am - 6:00 pm, Tuesday: 8:30am - 6:00pm, Wednesday: 7:30am - 5:00pm, Thursday: 7:30am - 5:00pm

Qualifications

• 1 yr dental assisting experience
• Current BLS/CPR certification

What You’ll Do as an Orthodontic Assistant

• Establish a trusting rapport with patients, ensuring that the ultimate patient experience is delivered to every patient.
• Place and remove arch wires, elastic ties, power chains, and other orthodontic auxiliaries (as allowed by state regulations).
• Educate the patients on orthodontic care, headgear delivery and rubber band instructions.
• Assist in patient care including assisting in placing and removing orthodontic appliances, and taking full records to include Panoramic and Cephalometric x-rays.
• Maintain patients’ charts and transcribe the doctor’s notes accurately and assure home care instructions are clear to patients and/or guardian.
• Perform laboratory procedures including model pour up, trimming and fabricating clearn aligners.
• Keep chairs stocked and organized as well as clean, sterilize, and prepare the equipment.
