In this role, the Orthodontic Assistant supports orthodontists chairside by preparing treatment rooms, organizing instruments, and assisting with procedures such as placing and removing archwires, brackets, and bands under appropriate supervision. The role includes taking dental impressions, digital scans, x-rays, and photographs, as well as educating patients and caregivers on oral hygiene, appliances, and treatment progress. The Orthodontic Assistant is also responsible for maintaining infection control standards, documenting patient information in practice systems, and coordinating with front desk teams to support scheduling and smooth patient flow. This position contributes to a friendly, patient-centered environment and works closely with the clinical team to ensure high-quality orthodontic care.
