Pay Range: From $17.00 per Hour for “Entry-Level” and up to $28.00 per Hour for Very Experienced, Well-Qualified Professionals

Job Profile: Orthodontic Assistant

Hero Practice Services is seeking an Orthodontic Assistant to support the orthodontist(s) in providing excellent, high-quality care to patients.

The Opportunity:

This role offers the unique opportunity to support the Heroes who actively serve the children and young people in our communities by improving their overall health and well-being.

Responsibilities include:

1. Providing chair-side assistance to the orthodontist, including fitting orthodontic bands, bonding set-up, arch wire placement, appliance delivery, and brace removal in a timely manner.
2. Accurately collecting and recording patient medical history in the Electronic Healthcare Records (EHR) system.
3. Providing and encouraging high-quality customer service and care.
4. Maintaining a clean, sterile, and patient-centric environment.
5. Ensuring the practice is clean and presentable, including cleaning restrooms, the patient lobby, mopping, vacuuming, and dusting.
6. Complying with all applicable regulations (e.g., OSHA, HIPAA, Dental Board, ADA, DOL).

Minimum Qualifications:

1. State Certification/License (where applicable).
2. Understanding of State and OSHA/HIPAA/CDC compliance requirements.
3. Radiology Certification (where applicable).
4. Strong interpersonal skills and a desire for professional growth.
5. Organizational skills and a solid knowledge of orthodontics.
